KATHMANDU: CG Digital, a sister concern of CG Electronics, on Tuesday launched an e-commerce website — www.cgdigital.com.np.
The website, which has been initiated with a motive to reach market through internet, was officially launched by Chaudhary Group Managing Director, Nirvana Chaudhary.
The website features over 600 varieties of electronic products from brands such as CG, LG, Toshiba, Godrej, Onida, TCL, Kelvinator and Rico.
CG Electronics is the manufacturer of CG brand of electronics and appliances and the sole authorised distributor of all other eight brands. Customers can have an overview of the products and also compare them to get the product of their choice.
Addressing the launching ceremony, Chaudhary said it was the first e-commerce website solely dedicated to consumer electronics. “CG Electronics has been the leader in consumer electronics market for the last two decades with a market share of 35 percent. The future trend of shopping is more inclined to online shopping, and considering the busy life of people, we have launched this website,” Chaudhary said.
CG Electronics General Manager Ramesh Shrestha said the website was launched, keeping in mind the future trend. “The way Nepali people shop has changed massively in the past five years. And five years down the line, the trend of online shopping will be dominant.”
Customers shopping through the website can make payments through three modes — credit card, pay bill or cash-on-delivery. Consumers will get products at lower rates compared to the showroom price as rental charge will be deducted in products featured on the website.
