Executive Director’s Message
“A drop of ink makes millions think”, while at school one day, I came across these humble words which gave a whole new gist to my life. Ever since, all my thoughts are driven bringing these words into the reality. My attitude and thoughts carved within my mind as a continuous result of wondering outer ally made way for the stepping stone to creativity and innovation.
A central theme of our development over the years has been the establishment of a strong presence in selected market segment, a goal towards which we have been making significant stride by being prepare. Last year, we have once again generated record financial results, continued to foster impressive growth in our flagship businesses and realized opportunities in significant areas of new businesses.
Last year has been a mixed experience for our group. Our strong positioning in Food and Beverages with key competencies in quality and services have posted growth of 20% and have expanded our presence in more than 13 countries around the globe. Kwiks potato chips and Wai Wai quick and Wai Wai Xpress has been the major launches this year. Wai Wai was awarded the No.1 brand among top 50 brands in Nepal, in a survey conducted by AC Neilson published in the top business magazine “The Boss” for the second consecutive year. Our money remittance has been a calculative success story. It has successfully spread its services with over 350 locations to reach every corner of Nepal. It was also awarded for excellence in its service delivery by Western Union Financial Services, USA.Team work and commitment to service excellence has fostered impressive growth in our money remittance business. Our Electronics division has also grown by 34% and our focus would be now on building CG as a domestic brand, ensuring quality electronics at an affordable price.
Over all the manufacturing units have gone through a major overhaul in order to innovate and streamline various processes to establish commitment on quality. We have also formally structured our commitment towards Research and Development which facilitates new product development, value engineering and standardization of various factors such as microbiological standards, preservation standard, additives, etc.
It’s been a year since, I have taken the responsibility as the Executive Director of our group and my key focus has been on people management. We as a group believe that our human resource will be the edge that we will have to build in order to sustain our growth and attain new heights as a global conglomerate. We have now set our goals to give priority to Training and Development as a part of becoming employer of choice thereby creating opportunities for our employees to grow within our organization to become leaders, representing our business in global arena.
We are now concerned to identify young and passionate people to be a part of our existing team of professionals who will lead our business ventures.
Our group is rich in talent and getting richer every day. Our firm has tremendous momentum that is derived largely from our steadily growing roster of highly motivated, talented professionals who consistently have broadened our group’s considerable resources and expertise.
